Sorry if this seems like a silly question... I know this is rare because out of all the Indians I see, about 5% more or less have green eyes.

Kinda like this Indian actor (whom I find very attractive):

Genetics. I'm Indian and a quarter of my family has green eyes--it's a recessive gene, so it's not that common but it's still there.

India has been invaded by pretty much every major civilization on the planet. There are Indians with green, blue, brown, hazel, black and grey eyes because we have a very diverse ancestry (the history of which is still being debated and theorized about, but still).

The genetics of eye color are so complex that almost any parent-child combination of eye colors can occur. !!

Eye colors can range from the most common color, brown, to the least common, green. Eye color is an inherited trait influenced by more than one gene.

Green eyes are the product of low to moderate amounts of melanin and probably represent the interaction of multiple variants within the OCA2 and other genes. Green eyes were present in south Siberia during the Bronze Age.They are most common in Northern and Central Europe. They can also be found in parts of Southern Europe and North Africa. In Iceland, 89% of women and 87% of men have either blue or green eye color. A study of Icelandic and Dutch adults found green eyes to be much more prevalent in women than in men. Among European Americans, green eyes are most common among those of Celtic and Germanic ancestry, about 16%. Green eyes also manifest in Black populations with significant European admixture and Latin Americans with European ancestry.
