There are three zones of the Himalayas.

The outer mountains are around 2,000 to 5,000 feet.

The Lesser Himalayas range from about 7,000 to 15,000 feet.

The Greater Himalayas include 9 of the world's 10 highest mountains.

There are over 30 peaks in the Himalayas that are more than 24,000 feet, the highest of which is Everest at 29,035 feet.
